Andrew, 25, is a professional nature photographer and marine biologist. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, he is currently photographing the unique wildlife and landscapes of New Zealand. His images capture the living world around us, from intimate portraits of birds and mammals to detailed macros of plants and insects. Andrew is a passionate conservationist, and his images are designed to inspire people to care for our environment and the wildlife within it. He recently received a highly commended award in this year's Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition for his image 'Amber Thrush'. The competition, organised by the Natural History Museum in London and the BBC, is most prestigious contest of its kind. This year alone it received over 34,000 entries from 78 countries, of which only 100 are exhibited. Please visit the NHM galleries for more information. Andrew currently shoots with a Nikon D200 body and a Nikkor 200-400mm f4 lens, along with other Nikon and Sigma lenses. He believes that his images should represent a true experience of nature, and therefore keeps digital retouching to an absolute minimum. None of the images currently on the site have been digitally manipulated.

A fellow photographer, Tom manages the publishing of Andrew's images including the design and production of calendars, greetings cards, postcards and other products. Along with Andrew, Tom has launched the conservation image library 'Wild Focus' which aims to make affordable, inspiring and professional wildlife photography available to the conservation and environmental sector. Originally from the UK, Tom most recently worked for Europe's largest wildlife conservation charity the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) in Scotland as a Public Relations officer. Whilst his main interest is birds, Tom is passionate about every aspect of the natural world, and it was this shared interest that has brought him to work with Andrew. Tom’s images have been used across the UK in print publications, interpretation signage and web-based media by many conservation groups, including the RSPB and the Wildlife Trusts, along with appearing regularly in the Scottish press and BBC Online website. A selection of Tom’s shots also feature on the internal RSPB Images photo library. Tom currently shoots with a 10MP Canon body, and the majority of his best images are captured on a Canon IS L 100-400mm lens. He also carries Sigma and other Canon lenses. Please contact Tom with any publishing or corporate image enquiries.
